Built by collectors, for collectors
We’re building the terminal the hobby never had.
TCGBerg turns the chaos of the trading-card market into clear, defensible numbers. We’re two collectors who got tired of guessing what our own cards were worth, so we built the tool we wished existed.
What TCGBerg does
What we ingest
- Graded sales
- Populations
- Live listings
- Raw prices
What we derive
- Fair values
- Market caps
- Indices
- Deal signals
A fair value for every card at every grade, rolled up into market caps and indices, and scanned for listings trading below worth. Graded and ungraded, vintage and modern, updated daily.
How it started
Like most collectors, we started with the cards: chasing grails, ripping packs, sweating a big purchase, and every so often getting burned on one. But pricing any of it meant juggling a dozen sold listings, squinting at population reports, and arguing over what “fair” even meant.
“The data existed. It was just scattered, inconsistent, and locked away.”
The hobby had quietly become a serious asset class (real money moving every day) without the tools to match. Investors in any other market take fair values, indices, and transparent methodology for granted. Collectors got spreadsheets and gut feel.
So we stopped waiting for someone to build it for us. What began as a shared spreadsheet between two collectors turned into a full analytics pipeline, and then into the terminal you’re looking at now.
Still collectors first
We didn’t come from a trading desk. We’re collectors who learned to build. We use TCGBerg every day to make our own buy and sell calls, so when a number looks wrong, it bugs us as much as it bugs you. This is the tool we needed, kept honest by the fact that we rely on it too.
What we stand for
Transparent math
Every number traces back to public sale comps and documented methodology. No black boxes. See exactly how it’s derived.
Accessible by design
You shouldn’t need a trading desk to value a collection. We make serious analytics approachable for collectors, not just institutions.
Honest by default
Our quotes are best-effort estimates, not gospel. When confidence is thin, we show it. No false precision.
What’s next
Cards are an asset class. We’re building the instruments to match.
Fair values for every card, market caps for every set, indices for every segment, the instruments any serious market takes for granted, built for a hobby that quietly became one. Vintage and modern are live today, with more sets, games, and markets next. See how the numbers are made, or tell us what to track next.
